1. Who is responsible
This notice explains how Pia Nexus One Member PLC, operating as OpenPia, handles personal information connected with openpia.com, seller onboarding, checkout, support and Merchant of Record operations.
2. Information we may collect
The information depends on how you interact with OpenPia.
- Identity, contact and business details supplied during enquiries or seller verification
- Transaction information such as product, amount, status, references and timestamps
- Technical and security information such as device, browser, IP address and event logs
- Support communications, refund requests, dispute evidence and product-delivery records
- Compliance information required to assess sellers, transactions or legal obligations
3. How information is used
We use information to operate and secure the service, assess seller and product eligibility, process and reconcile transactions, provide receipts and support, investigate refunds or disputes, prevent abuse, meet accounting or legal obligations and improve service reliability.
We do not use an old AI-aggregator product identity or AI model training as a purpose for collecting Merchant of Record customer information.
4. When information is shared
Information may be shared only as reasonably needed with payment providers, verification and fraud-prevention providers, infrastructure and support vendors, professional advisers, approved sellers involved in fulfilment, and competent authorities where legally required.
Each recipient should receive only the information appropriate to its role. We do not sell personal information as a standalone data product.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for the period needed for the stated purposes, transaction records, disputes, accounting, security and applicable legal requirements. Retention periods vary by record type.
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so users should never send passwords or full payment credentials by email.
6. Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law and the context, you may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal information, or object to particular use. Some records may need to be retained for transactions, security or legal obligations.
